Since then, a new edition takes place every two years. 24 countries from 5 continents send their best chef to the SIRHA fair in Lyon to represent their country during the world final.

Top chefs like Régis Marcon, Yannick Alleno, and Rasmus Kofoed have received a medal in the Bocuse d’Or earlier in their careers.
